Why the marble cleaner 16 oz is pH neutral

Marble is calcium carbonate, which means it reacts with acid. Vinegar, lemon juice, bathroom descalers and most supermarket sprays leave dull, cloudy patches called etching – damage to the stone itself, not dirt sitting on top of it. The marble cleaner 16 oz is pH neutral so that it lifts soil without attacking the surface underneath. NeutraSheen was formulated for exactly that, which is why there is no loss of gloss, color or sheen after cleaning. The Natural Stone Institute makes the same recommendation about neutral cleaners in its consumer stone care guidance.

Which size marble cleaner should you buy?

The marble cleaner 16 oz bottle is concentrate, not ready to use, so it goes considerably further than the number on the label suggests. It suits a single bathroom, a vanity top, or anyone who wants to try the product before committing. For a whole kitchen or a marble floor, the 40 oz or 1 gallon sizes drop the cost per use substantially.

Many customers keep concentrate in the cupboard and a premixed spray bottle by the sink, refilling the sprayer from the concentrate as it empties. That way the cleaner is always within reach of the spill, which is what actually protects marble.

Where to use the marble cleaner 16 oz

• Marble kitchen countertops, islands and bar tops
• Bathroom vanity tops, marble shower walls and shower floors
• Marble entryway, hallway and foyer floors
• Marble table tops, window sills and fireplace surrounds
• Granite, limestone, travertine, ceramic and porcelain tile

How to use the marble cleaner 16 oz concentrate

Dilute the marble cleaner 16 oz with water as directed and apply with a cloth or a damp mop. There is no rinse step, and nothing is left behind on the surface to attract more soil. For everyday counter duty, mix a small batch into a quart spray bottle and keep it under the sink.

On a marble shower, work top down and finish with a dry towel so mineral rich water does not dry on the stone and leave spotting.
