What grout sealer 16 oz is protecting against
Grout is porous cement, and porous cement absorbs whatever touches it – soap scum, coffee, moisture, and mildew-causing dampness. Grout sealer 16 oz penetrates into that porous surface and cures there, so future spills and moisture sit on top instead of soaking in and darkening the grout over time.
Why the 16 oz size
At 16 oz, this size covers a full kitchen floor and backsplash, or several bathrooms, across multiple applications – more coverage per dollar than restocking the smaller 8 oz bottle repeatedly.
Applying grout sealer 16 oz
Clean the grout thoroughly first and let it dry completely – sealer applied over trapped moisture or soap residue won’t bond properly. Apply with a small brush or dedicated grout applicator, following the lines rather than dabbing, and wipe excess off the tile surface before it dries. Allow the recommended cure time before the area gets wet again.
Keeping grout sealed
Once sealed, stick to pH-neutral cleaners on tile and grout – harsh acidic cleaners break down a seal faster than normal wear. Test whether it’s time to reseal by watching how water behaves on the grout; if it stops beading, it’s time to reapply.

Does sealing prevent discoloration? Sealing prevents new staining from soaking in; existing discoloration needs a grout restorer first.
How long does a coat last? Most kitchens and bathrooms hold a seal for a year or more before it needs reapplying, depending on traffic and moisture.
Is the formula different from the 8 oz size? No – only the bottle size changes, so results match our grout sealer 8 oz.

Great product! No fumes, washed/wiped off tiles completely BUT the real test is does it repel water. Since applying it (and allowing 36 hr dry time)
none of the grout lines “darken” when wet.
