DIRECTIONS:Â Stone surface should be clean and dry. Apply a small amount of MPP with soft cotton cloth or paper towel, divide work area into sections no larger than 18 square inches. With a circular hand motion, buff MPP with paper towels, changing them often.

Why marble needs protecting at all
Marble is calcium carbonate and it is porous. That combination means two separate problems. Acidic spills – wine, citrus, cola, tomato, vinegar – chemically etch the polished surface. Oily and pigmented spills soak in and stain. The Natural Stone Institute covers both in its stone care guidance for homeowners. A polish and protector buys you time on both counts: it will not make marble bulletproof, but it gives you the minutes you need to wipe a spill up before it does damage.
How to apply it
Start with a surface that is clean and completely dry. Apply a small amount with a soft cotton cloth or paper towel and work in sections rather than trying to do a whole countertop at once. Buff it out well – the effort you put into buffing is what produces the shine. Change cloths often as they load up. On a heavily used kitchen island, reapplying every few months keeps the finish consistent; a guest bathroom vanity may go a year or more.

Is this the same as a sealer? It is a polish and protector combined. For deeper penetrating protection on porous stone, look at our Marble Guard Protector range.
Will it fix existing etch marks? No. Etching is physical damage and needs Marble Gloss Restorer first. Use this afterwards.
Does the 4 ounce size go far? Yes – you apply it thinly, so a little covers a surprising amount of surface.
Can I use it on granite or limestone? This one is formulated for marble. We make a separate Granite Polish and Protector for granite.
Small habits that make the finish last
Protecting marble is not only about what you apply to it. Use coasters under glasses, particularly for citrus, wine and anything carbonated. Put a board under whatever you are cutting. Blot spills rather than wiping them across the surface, and reach for a soft cloth rather than an abrasive pad. Clean regularly with a pH neutral stone cleaner so soil never builds up. A protector buys you reaction time; these habits mean you rarely need it. Together they are what keeps a marble surface looking installed rather than lived on.

I just wanted to let you know that the Marble Gloss Restorer SF product that I received this week worked wonderfully! I only needed to apply a small amount and to buff by hand. I then followed up with the Marble Polish and Protector product that I purchased originally. We can no longer see the etch marks that the bottle of cleaning solution left when it was accidently set down on our new marble counter. We also learned a lesson not to bring such harsh products into our bathroom!

I want to say that this product, MARBLE POLISH AND PROTECTOR has changed everything about my soap stone counter top.
It has brought out the grain pattern ad made it more prominent- it is easier to take care of.
WATER no long leaves a stain mark- it all disappears.

Thank you for the advice provided when I called to discuss the removal of a few small etched areas on my bathroom sink surround’s marble tiles.
When I made the mistake of allowing a minor spill of vinegar to drop on the marble surfaces and saw the dull, etched result, it was hard to imagine there could be an easy and effective cure. In contrast to the surrounding glossy fields, the vinegar damage stood out like a sore thumb and were bothersome to look at.
By using a 50/50 mix of the Marble Polish & Protector and the Marble Gloss Restorer, I was able to buff away the etch marks by hand rubbing alone with far less effort than anticipated.
I have to say that the results from using your formulations and directions are spectacular and far exceeded my expectations!
